Did you know about Chicken curry with Chapati? It's Indian food. People who like Indian food must have heard of this dish and to be honest, Chicken curry with Chapati is my favourite Indian food. That's why in this recipe, I will bring you to my best Chicken curry and Chapati recipe.
When it comes to curry, there are many different kinds and characteristics in each country. For example, Japanese curry is more like gravy, and Thai curry is mainly made of coconut milk. In comparison, Indian curry is spicy and has a strong flavour.
In this recipe, I used ingredients such as tomato sauce, but you could easily substitute chopped fresh tomatoes in their place. I like to use milk when making curry, but coconut milk works just as well.
I use curry powder from Baba's in the Chicken curry with Chapati recipe this time. Baba's is a brand originating from Malaysia. Baba's also sells other instant spices for many types of dishes. Baba's curry powder already contains a mixture of turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, fennel, cardamom, star anise, etc. The Baba's curry powder is delicious and makes the taste of this dish even stronger. If you can't find Baba's curry powder in your place, you can also use another brand.
Chapati is an Indian flatbread. The look and texture are almost similar to a tortilla. Chapati goes really well with chicken curry. I made use of all-purpose flour when preparing this dish. However, for a more traditional and genuine flavour, you can substitute the all-purpose flour in the same quantity with whole wheat flour.
Your stomach will be left feeling perfectly satisfied after indulging in this yummy Indian chicken curry and Chapati combination. Happy cooking!
Notes*
You must keep an eye on the Chapati when you cook it. The Chapati is really easy to get burnt, flip it frequently. Press the surface with a spatula.
